Author, speaker, and personal finance journalist Andrew Hallam did not grow up wealthy. His family, much like most, was working class and could not pay for his college. However, a chance encounter with a millionaire mechanic set him on the right course, and he began investing before his 20th birthday.
His self-made journey became the subject of his international bestseller, “Millionaire Teacher: The Nine Rules of Wealth You Should Have Learned in School.” That book also functions as a guide to achieving financial independence. Since writing that book, he has also published a sequel specifically for expats and world travelers like him.
Today, Hallam and his wife, Pele, whom he married in 2003, are living a jet-setting lifestyle while working as little or as much as they want. While traveling, he still sends in articles to several major financial and news publications. The couple has given speeches and presentations in over 30 countries.
