Jim Loehr

As a leading performance psychologist, Jim Loehr has worked with many professional athletes in a wide range of sports. However, his expertise is perhaps even more respected in the business consulting arena. Many of Loehr’s corporate clients come to him through the Human Performance Institute, which he co-founded.

Loehr believes that people can make anything easier and less draining on energy levels by training in targeted areas every day. He co-wrote the best-seller “The Power of Full Engagement” with Tony Schwartz. In that book, he asserts that training four specific types of energy and taking time for recovery regularly can improve productivity.

Loehr has written more than a dozen other books with subjects ranging from how to build character to specific tips for managing stress. All his books draw on his experiences as a trainer for elite athletes. He lives in Orlando, Florida, though he often travels for speaking engagements.
