Born in 1968, Susan Cain has gained the unlikely reputation as a “public introvert.” After spending several years as a corporate lawyer and negotiations consultant, she left to write about the untapped potential of introverts like herself. She shares her thoughts in “Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking.”
Cain formed Quiet Revolution LLC and Quiet Leadership Institute to empower introverted children and help companies to train introverted leaders. Cain has been featured around the world as a leadership and management expert, earning her Toastmasters International’s Gold Gavel Award. She holds degrees from Harvard Law School and Princeton University.
Cain is also known for her 2012 TED talk, which covered some of the points in her best-seller. Her husband, Kenneth, encourages and supports her, and she credits him for many contributions to her work. The Cains have two children together and live in the Greater New York City area.
